Laura picks up grand prize

The Young Facilities Manager of the Year 2020 picked up her prize at a virtual Mansion House Banquet hosted by the Lord Mayor and sheriffs of the City of London. Salisbury’s Laura Newnham was chosen by The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers as its young star of the year, following a nationwide shortlisting process in late 2020.

Laura was joined on the night by her colleagues Adam Burden, Martin Wright and Lucieanne Byrne – another Salisbury star who made the final shortlist. Over 100 other guests attended the banquet, held by Zoom, which was celebrated as “The End of Dry January”. Everyone made a great effort to dress in black tie for the event and raise a toast to the winner!

As well as receiving recognition, Laura was given a bursary of £500 and a detailed training support program for the next 12 months.
